Products Description
Aluminum nitride, known by its chemical name AlN or nitride of aluminum (nitruro de aluminio, nitrure d'aluminium), is an advanced technical ceramic material. Often referred to as AIN ceramic, aluminium nitride ceramic, or simply AlN ceramic, it is known for its excellent thermal conductivity, high electrical insulation, and remarkable mechanical properties. It exhibits a hexagonal wurtzite crystal structure, contributing to its unique combination of physical and chemical characteristics, making AlN material a compound of significant interest.

Product Performance
1. High thermal conductivity
Aluminum nitride ceramics have very high thermal conductivity, with a theoretical value of up to 320W/m·K and an actual value of 170W/m·K to 240/m·K, which is much higher than traditional alumina ceramics. This makes aluminum nitride ceramics an ideal heat dissipation material, suitable for electronic devices, LED lighting, laser equipment and other fields, effectively improving the working efficiency and life of the equipment.
2. Excellent electrical insulation
Aluminum nitride ceramics have good electrical insulation, low dielectric constant, low dielectric loss, and remain stable at high frequencies. These characteristics make it a preferred material in high-frequency, high-power electronic devices, such as high-frequency circuit substrates, power module packaging, etc.
3. Good thermal expansion matching
The thermal expansion coefficient of aluminum nitride ceramics is about 4.5×10^-6/K, which is very close to semiconductor materials such as silicon (Si) and gallium arsenide (GaAs). This makes aluminum nitride ceramics an ideal substrate material for semiconductor devices, helping to reduce thermal stress and improve the reliability and stability of devices.
Products Applications
Aluminum nitride ceramics are widely used in electronics and high-temperature industries. Key products include AlN wafers, AlN substrates (aluminium nitride substrates), and AlN sheets (aluminium nitride sheet, AlN plate). In microelectronics, they serve as heat sinks (ALN heat sink), polished substrates (AIN polished substrate, ALN polished substrate), and insulating layers for integrated circuits and LED packages due to their high thermal conductivity. High thermal conductivity substrates (AIN high thermal conductivity substrate, ALN high thermal conductivity substrate) are critical for power electronics and high-power semiconductor modules.
The material is extensively used in thermal management applications such as AlN heaters (aluminum nitride ceramic heaters), aluminum nitride heater plates, and aluminum nitride thermal discs. Its chemical stability makes it ideal for use as crucibles (AlN crucible), tubes, and plates for handling molten metals. Aluminum nitride structural components and parts are found in aerospace, automotive sensors, and as protective components.
Furthermore, AlN is used in specialized applications like microporous ceramic suction cups for precision handling, acoustic wave devices, and microwave components. The ability to fabricate custom aluminum nitride components-such as custom substrates, crucibles, tubes, plates, and parts-allows for tailored solutions across advanced industries. Leading aluminum nitride manufacturers and suppliers, such as Maruwa, provide these high-performance materials, with the aluminum nitride price reflecting its advanced properties and manufacturing precision.
