 Hot-pressed silicon nitride ceramic is produced using the specialized hot-press sintering process. This technique applies extremely high uniaxial mechanical pressure to the green powder body during high-temperature sintering. Consequently, it yields top-tier silicon nitride materials with near-theoretical density, fine grain size, and virtually flawless properties-all achieved at temperatures significantly lower than those required for conventional atmospheric pressure sintering.

  • High Strength and High Toughness: Among high-temperature ceramics, its fracture toughness is particularly outstanding, forming the basis for manufacturing high-performance silicon nitride ceramic structural components and silicon nitride parts.
  • Excellent High-Temperature Performance: It can maintain relatively high strength and hardness at temperatures of 1200°C - 1400°C, making it an outstanding high-temperature resistant material.
  • Superior Thermal Stability: Low coefficient of thermal expansion combined with good thermal conductivity results in excellent thermal shock resistance. This makes it ideal for products like silicon nitride tubes, silicon nitride crucible, and silicon nitride riser tubes.
  • High Hardness and Wear Resistance: Extremely high hardness and excellent wear resistance make it particularly suitable for manufacturing wear-resistant silicon nitride products such as Si₃N₄ ceramic bearing and silicon nitride ceramic nozzles. A silicon nitride coating can also enhance surface properties.
  • Good Chemical Stability: Resistant to corrosion by most acids, alkalis, and molten metals. Therefore, silicon nitride ceramic tubes and components are widely used in metallurgical and chemical industries. (Note: It is different from silicon nitrate or silicon nitrite).
