Products Performance
Alumina Threaded Rod possesses several outstanding properties. In terms of mechanical performance, it exhibits extremely high hardness (Mohs hardness of 9), excellent wear resistance, but relatively low toughness and high brittleness. Therefore, installation requires avoiding impact or over-tightening. Regarding thermal performance, it offers outstanding high-temperature resistance with a melting point around 2050°C, allowing for long-term stable operation below 1600°C. It also has a low coefficient of thermal expansion and good thermal stability. Electrically, it is an excellent insulator with high dielectric strength, maintaining reliable insulation even under high temperatures or high frequencies. Chemically, it shows strong corrosion resistance, able to withstand most acids, alkalis, and organic solvents, and is not prone to aging or contaminating media. Additionally, it features low density, non-magnetic properties, and bio-inertia. However, its tensile strength and impact resistance are weaker compared to metals.
